Lyrello ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Eigen Software LLC. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Lyrello mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. This is used solely for authentication.
Voice recordings. When you create a voice profile, you record a short audio sample (approximately 20 seconds). This recording is uploaded to our servers and used to generate a voice model that can read stories aloud.
Generated audio. We store audio files generated by the voice cloning model so they can be played back on demand.
Usage data. We may collect basic usage data such as which books are played and how often, to improve the app experience. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account
- To generate voice profiles from your recordings
- To produce and store audio narrations of books
- To improve the app and fix issues
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your voice data for any purpose other than generating audio within the Lyrello app.
3. Voice Data
Your voice recordings and generated voice profiles are stored securely on our servers. Voice data is linked to your account and is not shared with third parties. You can delete your voice profiles and associated recordings at any time from within the app. When you delete a voice profile, the voice sample and all generated audio for that profile are permanently removed from our servers.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers provided by Supabase (database and storage) and DigitalOcean (application hosting). Voice processing is performed on Modal (GPU compute). All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access.
5. Children's Privacy
Lyrello is designed for parents and caregivers to use with their children. The app does not collect any information directly from children. Children interact with the app in a simplified "kid mode" that does not require or collect personal information. Account creation, voice recording, and all data-related actions are performed by the parent or guardian in PIN-protected "parent mode".
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and voice profiles for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual voice profiles at any time. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your voice profiles and generated audio
- Delete your account entirely
- Request a copy of your data
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Lyrello:
- Supabase - Authentication, database, and file storage
- Modal - GPU compute for voice cloning and text-to-speech
- DigitalOcean - Application hosting
These services process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or via email.
